finally! all the fruits of my "i haven't been posting cause i don't have any time" labor can be shared! and this is a good one----i had a super amazing time in the desert with foam magazine for their march issue-----with my bff zoey grossman, and super babe gillian zinser for a coachella themed story.......even though it was a weekend and i had to wake up at 5 am, i couldn't even be bitter because it was such an awesome day. got to gypsy out with sparkly hands, bellbottoms, chain bras, glow sticks, fringe-y jackets, crop tops and cutoffs galore, all the while soaking up rays and laughing my ass off. made me want to get my festival on and sip warm beers in the polo fields! all of these badass wears are available here.

i received a bountiful bestowing of rad rings----a gilded finger sling from rbrth, and some sick stackers from my soul sister amanda, aka luv aj. i sure do love me some rings. yes. i. do.

2 weeks. grossly unacceptable for the updating of one's blog. but i swearrrrr ALOT has been going on. and clearly it's alot because i used caps and i hate the shit out of capitol letters. obviously, no surprise, i have been working like a banshee. this shoot is one of my all time favorites, if not my ultimate favorite shoot for planet blue, ever. my homie homeslice jp is in town for a few months, and who better to play the ultimate 70's vixen/roller girl goddess than her. i'm also turning over a new leaf as far as work goes....you will find out in due time what that means. i really do love this shoot. and it came together so effortlessly-----between the clothes, zoey always being amazing, jp, the roller rink (that was open solely for us)......oh, and did i mention jp almost turned pro in rollerskating at 13? talk about divine intervention.

i couldn't love this completely impractical ring set any more. it gets tangled in every nook and cranny humanly possible, but don't think that stops me from spending an extra ten minutes of my day detaching myself from various inanimate objects. worth it.

the coolest chicks ever (aka spell) sent me this giant rock of a ring delight. i'm in love. and could knock someone out cold with it. i've been wearing the suede cross necklace below like it's going out of style.

it's always fun styling a fall lookbook and trying to make it look cold when it's really 99 degrees out. good thing planet blue agrees with my fall rules. bathing suit bottoms=pants. throw a jacket and boots on with those little bad boys, and you've got fall. california style. i loved styling this---we were in deliverance backwoods, we got to eat onion rings with mad ranch at a bikers rest stop in the middle of nowhere, and i loved every single bit of the clothes/jewels/shoes/accessories. if i don't get my hands on that fringe backpack i am gonna cry. just kidding. what loser cries over fringe backpacks? (me. if i don't get one). the model killllled the shoot, and is my new favorite person----asia, a foul mouthed badass from belarus who was highlarious (and made even a tongue ring look cool----that's no small feat). she happened to have yellow hair paint in from a previous job that gave her the most awesome long, thick bang-ed weird highlighter ombre that pushed her radness over the edge. hope you like! and have a party hardy weekend. cause, i've already started. xx

taking a load off and matching head to burgundy toe with b.f.....not planned. so when i saw him for the first time that day i was so stoked that zoey was around to call it out, laugh at us, and be able to document it. and no, i didn't change. we went in all our twinsie glory to dinner and it was rad. ok, moving on from the couples coincidence. sooooo, i lied. i said i was going to post in new york, and obviously, i didn't. and, to add insult to injury, i also took 0 pictures, other than the few i posted here. my days buying were over-run with the words "cute", "what delivery is this?", and more "cute". 10 hour days of looking at clothes left my eyes burning (neon is hitting spring hard so that's what i blame), so by time i got to the hotel i was face-planting that pillow. i think it's time to change the name of the blog. how do you feel about: never posts n' boots?

so remember that road trip for planet blue i was telling you about? well here is the first half of the lookbook. 110 degree sweat-stache inducing gnarly-ness and a case of heat stroke later, it was definitely one of the most environmentally challenging shoots i've ever done. homegirl in the corduroy pants was probably hating life a little more than the rest of us. but that's why models get paid the big bucks. i'll be able to post the second half of the sweat-fest next week! speaking of road trips, i am currently on one. for fun. that's right, fun. and i'm stoked. so i will be dropping off the face of the earth yet again. i might post a little something here every now and then if the voyeur in you wants to know what i'm doing rightnowthissecond. adios amigos!

some days, my job really rules. like this day. the crew went to malibu to shoot a beachin' lookbook. (you can see the finished product here). my downfall of the day was that i totally spaced on wearing a tank top for maximum without-a-bathing-suit tan (real problems here). i think i was just so excited to wear this top again cause i haven't worn it since november. yes, november. that's how fast my dry cleaning turnaround is these days. nine months. chicks can grow a baby in nine months. i can get my dry cleaning done. cheers to procrastination! while we are on the subject of procrastination.......holy shiznit i haven't posted anything since tuesday! i've been on a six day work bender. gnarls. i hope you're doing the opposite of that, which would be chlling and/or raging. cause its sunday funday. holla.

i actually have no idea who's steps these are. just plopped myself down like it was my front patio.

didn't realize it at the time but i got alot going on here....crosses and daggers and cuffs oh my!

the saddest little fishtail to ever exist. a rat's nest with a rat's tail.

my favorite neon bra ever. don't even care about the other colors i bought on my neon kick (orange and pink). it's all about the highlighter yellow. glowing it's bright yellow-greeness all around town proudly. this babydoll dress passes all of my prerequisites for wear. big, short? check check. sheer paneling? check. low sided? holy check. this dress rules. especially in the hot blazing summer we have goin' on right now. what didn't rule about this dress was the slip, which was not sew in. the icing on the cake. was trying to think of something to say about it being tuesday, but there isn't anything really extraordinarily awesome about tuesday. other than the fact that at least it's not monday. so cheers to that.

cracked. yes, cracked. leaned forward, hit the desk and crackety crystal it became. blows.

a little bavarian st pauli's girl meets laura ingalls wilder number. found it in my closet tags still attached. cheapie from h&m. it has a double slip on the bottom and its thick cotton gives you an extra petticoat layer of cushion for the pushin'.....which is why the tags were still attached. but its hot as hell and i wanted something easy and light. we shot a mini lookbook for planet blue at this rad area in malibu.....we had a safari vibe to shoot and there isn't any lush forest vegetation around, so we cheated a little and i got to chill out around this tall grass and insane view of the ocean. made for an awesome location for pics. thank god for zoey and her badass camera. alot of you ask what camera i use for my photos and the majority of the time it's her canon 5d mark 2. makes you look like the best you humanly possible. now i need to rob a bank and get my hands on the couple g's it costs to buy one of my own. or just continue to force z to work her magic. i'm going with option number 2.

aaaand we're back. as promised, i cultivated my tan with an awesome uva ray filled weekend. complete with taxi rides on a foam floaty around the pool, super spiked fruit punch, a plethora of tiny dogs, and diving contests. and......a 5 course meal from domino's. pasta in a bread bowl and all. oh, holiday weekends, how i love thee. these pics were taken mid sweat-stache status in the super hot hot heat that mysteriously appeared out of nowhere. i cut literally 6 feet off this floral number----it was a serious 19 kids and counting ankle grazing length---one of the more hideously unflattering pieces i own. no wonder it was a rogue lone soldier at a 75% off sale. it sat gathering ankle length dust until one day i got around to taking it to the tailor----who proceeded to make it a crop top. well, not quite but lets just say i can't lift my arms or bend down while wearing it. and i have no idea why i'm wearing over the knee boots in 80 degree heat. it was a very bad call. learn from my mistake. unless you want a sweat-stache of your very own. hope you all enjoyed your weekend. back to the grind. cheers to it not being monday!

i should've called this post change your clothes. because this is allll i've been wearing lately. i've been in a seven month relationship with this jacket----we are gonna go the distance. maybe a fall wedding. the denim shirt has been slept in on many occasion, and the shorts haven't been removed from my body the entire week. i'm not gonna lie about these granny high waisted blindingly pink babies---they will ride up as far as you let them, there's not a sliver of stretch---whatsoever, and they aren't lined, which = itchy and scratchy like a mofo. but they are so effing cute to me that i deal with the trials and tribulations that come with wearing them. these boots were my best purchase of the year, and this hat i'm considering in every color. leather jackets and long sleeves in the summer is a damn shame california. don't use june gloom as an excuse.

rationing the amount of times i wear this sweater because i always snag it in the gnarliest way no matter what. already have 3 huge holes going. only allowed 1 wear per 2 months. or i could just not wear jewelry with it. but that just isn't an option, cause then i'd be naked.

been in a monochromatic mood. (no surprise there i'm sure). monochrome down to my pasty cream skin that is so desperate for a tan but is s.o.l. cause california's straight up refusing to have a summer. chilly/slightly warm/back to a chill is just not the jam. leaves for some uninspired dressing.....i've worn both this little fatty bubble tank and lace diapers before, though in very different hair moments! i miss my red hair. it went away too quickly. i know this isn't a world issue or anything, but i think about it every once in awhile and pour out a little liquor for my red that once was. why were you an upkeep nightmare? and why did you turn dull carrot orange in one wash? we could've had some nice times together red. you blew it. on the work tip, we've been shooting a ton of cool lookbooks for planet blue lately. (here's a recent favorite). since it's my job and we do the lookbooks every week, by the time it's done we are brainstorming and onto the next one. gotta start posting them more often. i mean at least then you guys will see what i do all day and why it takes me a hundred years to post!

a small breeze away from a nip slip right there. thank god i was inside. and i'm completely sans necklace which doesn't happen often. i think this neckline competes with them. neck liberation.

neverrrrr wear these boots----love their little cowboy sally vibe, but they make my feet look 17 miles long. literally walking on cruise ships. my stepdad used to tell me he didn't need to buy me water ski's cause i already had them attached to my ankles. clearly still traumatized by that. thanks, stepdad!

that's right. a post in the laundry room. just when i thought i couldn't get any more desperate for an interesting locale for photos....but it turned out to be a perfect setting cause little did i know that the gorgeous vinyl flooring had pretty much the exact same pattern as my giant trash bag dress! perfect---cause i love me some matchy matchy monochrome. unfortunately the yellow fluorescent lighting was a little downersaurus rex and made me look like i had a killer case of jaundice, sooooo this may be my last post in the laundry room. but it was awesome to multitask---got a load of whites done! not really, but that would've been awesome. you know what else is awesome? the impeding weekend. enjoy amigos.

it's been awhile since i posted something i've worked on. i actually totally forgot that i hadn't posted this lookbook until i stumbled across it on my desktop! if you follow me on "the twitter" as my gram likes to call it---i posted some behind the scenes pics a few months back. then you could've reminded me: when the hell are you going to post that shizz? if you don't that's ok cause i forget that i have a twitter too. anywho, here's the lookbook i styled for twelfth street by cynthia vincent holiday '11. look at that sparkly backdrop. just screams holiday. needing all of the faux fur shaggy abominable snowman wears. and i could basically wear them now because california is refusing to have a summer.

these rings have been glued to my fingers. actually wore them last post---calling myself out if you hadn't noticed. got them at the flea market. cheap as hell. and don't turn my finger green. icing on the cake.

it takes me 2,730,192,381 hours to put these sandals on. no joke.

i've been dying to do a black and yellow black and yellow post for awhile now---mainly because that song is the jam (everything i do yeah i do it big--i mean, so good) but alas, unless you want to look like that little bumblebee chick from that blind melon video, black and yellow isn't my favorite color combination as far as an outfit is concerned. so you can only imagine my pure delight when we came across this bright ass yellow wall, and i just so happened to be wearing all black everything. the stars were aligned, and my wiz khalifa dreams came true. i don't wear a ton of black, but i love this dress. definitely slightly scandalous (not that it's a problem i wear denim underwear), it even has a built in censored bar to cover your boobs. the scandal factor attempts to be counteracted by a big fatty full skirt, but....it's 2 inches long. so its back to it's original stink eye scandalous. i'm cool with that.

scotch scotch scotch....i lo---i do not love scotch. it makes me gag. even just the thought of it. so. gnarly. i do however, love burgundy. love me some burgundy. when i stumbled on these boots online i may have shed a tear of joy. can't get ever have enough boot. and i love a summer boot---these have amazing built in cut-out ventilation for those hot schweaty days. too bad the cut-out went literal and cut out a chunk of my foot the first day i wore them. limped for a day, and took a week to recover. it's safe to say we are currently in a love/hate relationship. i'm stuck in a major big top and short short rut right now. not that it's a new thing, but in the summer, it's on the daily. and i really do have shorts on under there, i swear. 3 day weekend dudes. you know what that means. go big or go home! but stay away from the scotch.

thought i would counteract my bathing suit/booty short derelict weekend with an attempt at being demure. and my continued love/hate relationship with this bubble slip dress. it's one of my favorite things.....so thin and interesting, rad details....and of course the foofy little bubble hem. but. every time i wear it, it feels so girly. like kitten heel girly. so i tried to offset it in every way possible. jewelry-snagged holey giant t-shirt with a coffee? soy sauce? stain on it (thank god for photoshop), unpainted toes (no close-ups here), and bedhead dreads (which i enable). but i still felt like a daytime ballerina of some sort. next attempt, maybe goth herman munster platforms and a death metal tee?

from mega post to maxi post. i am obsessed with interesting underpinnings. so i was in shock and awe coming across this amazingly straptastic bra. i'm in love with it. haven't taken it off in fact. it's actually a bikini top, but the problem with that is 1. it would leave the worst tan lines maybe, ever in the history of the world. and 2. it's dorito chip coverage would leave you flashing lovely beachgoing families. i'm all for flashing a cheek, but a nip isn't as well received. and this dress is way too long, but i can't seem to get it shortened, so instead the trusty knot. gives you a little tiny step syndrome, but it's better than the regal long dress train.

the one downfall to a super deep v-neck? a super high chance of flashing people your blindingly bright bra. like here. not that they can't already see it glowing right through.

this skirt is way tighty. like i take these weird little steps when i wear it because my legs are fighting the fabric that has a shocking lack of give tight. so i try to only wear it on days with little walking involved. perfect for a movie. lots of sitting. loving all things one teaspoon. this wayne's world meets larry the cable guy shirt included. and their cutoffs are ruling my world right now. thrashed, short, baggy, laced up, bleached out. all good. just got these babies which i will be wearing into the ground. and i'm stoked to finally reveal a little project with my homeslice mandy---had so much fun while she was here and working together was the icing on the killer cake. next post.
