ron burgundy

my new favorite necklace/weapon in dark alleys.
  burgundy boats.
scotch scotch scotch....i lo---i do not love scotch. it makes me gag. even just the thought of it. so. gnarly. i do however, love burgundy. love me some burgundy.  when i stumbled on these boots online i may have shed a tear of joy. can't get ever have enough boot. and i love a summer boot---these have amazing built in cut-out ventilation for those hot schweaty days. too bad the cut-out went literal and cut out a chunk of my foot the first day i wore them. limped for a day, and took a week to recover. it's safe to say we are currently in a love/hate relationship. i'm stuck in a major big top and short short rut right now. not that it's a new thing, but in the summer, it's on the daily. and i really do have shorts on under there, i swear. 3 day weekend dudes. you know what that means. go big or go home! but stay away from the scotch.
dress: sample, boots: barney's co-op, rosary bracelet: born gypsy, coin necklace: ax+apple

  1. oh wow the bourbon looks amazing, i love the boots os much because of the metal detail. the dress creates the most amazing movement. look at the sleeves they are like phenomenal and they have the right length. i love the fact that you are wearing different necklaces with a different length. it creates something unique. this outfit looks pretty simple, but i love the maxi effect

  6. There is seriously nothing worse than an amazing looking shoe that hurts like a b*tch. I found a pair of frye boots that are gorgeous but I literally have to wrap every toe with bandaids before I leave my apartment.. the worst.

Love your outfit! Enjoy your holiday weekend : ]

  11. yeah, that necklace looks like it would give someone a nice puncture wound. it'd give at least enough time to run away. gorgeous new boots, too bad they're evil. Also, love that bag. It's getting more and more challenging to dress as the days get warmer, I imagine I'll be stuck in a similar habit of shorts and blouses. Thank you so much for your awesome comment on my blog!

Anyhoo...have a fab Memorial Day Weekend. I am hitting the town Jersey Shore style...seriously going where they film Jersey Shore..(I live 8 miles away) BUT I will not be wearing hair gel or a can of aqua net and ridiculously slutty clothes..OK, maybe a little slutty? its called adapting to your surroundings.
