lite-brite

quick pics at felicity's house....too bad when i take quick pictures they look nothing like this. photography is hard. really really hard. probably should've taken this into consideration when i decided to start this thing!

rip recollection: volume 1

 this a multi part series/dedication to a line that is no longer, recollection. my best friend pj was the designer, and it was amazing, and everything was made out of vintage fabrics. working with him on the lookbooks wasn't even like working it was so fun. (but now he has an equally cool gig at 12th street by cynthia vincent, and we still get to work together thank god!) this shoot was for the resort collection, and we shot it at this rad house on the beach in malibu. the models name was natalie, and she was adorable and sweet. if she looks familiar it's cause she was just on the cover of the free people catalog---stoked for her. she also has a blog called natalie off duty. the weather was perfect, and it made me happy i live in california. and have such a cool job.

ladies who lunch

long lovely ladylunch with some of my favorite friends: molly, felicity, and lillian. they are all talented, amazing bitches. and im so lucky to have them all as friends. we had a long drunken real housewives style lunch and it ruled. i wish i was doing that right now.

 molly designer her pants. they are from her line barlow. she is just amazing. and i love her fade. and her amazing mustard and purple combination. she's the cutest little nugget.

felicity nursing her drink like a little baby....top ring is vintage, bottoms is an old key that was bent into a ring. she got it at this amazing store in ny that i can't remember the name of.....real informativeso jealous of lillians bold lip during the day---rings vintage, except the one below the gold band is iosselliani.molly's mag, louis vuitton little napsack, and notepad----she was writing down inspiration for the day....today was carmen sandiego. because lillian frequently rocks the carmen sd look. like today.

day drinking continued at felicity's laurel canyon lair....one of my favorite places ever. also my favorite? this diab'less dress. the fact that this company is no longer around makes me cry every time i look at this little bit.

parquet for a day

these are from a shoot that i did with felicity for an online mag called sloane. i don't think these made the cut, but the one above is the header for felicity's blog, which is way cool. we shot it at pj's house, i styled it, add a couple (or seven) mimosas, and you've got yourself a haphazard photoshoot. with a stylist filling in for a model. cause they asked for a "regular" girl. and apparently all of our friends were working.

poncho villa

a dress that i have in 4 different fabrics. its cheap and easy. it also comes in a floor length, which also rules. the poncho is 12th street. its heavy and warm---and its a workout to wear this thing--my shoulders start to ache like i'm wearing a backpack in middle school, and after an hour or two i gotta take it off and give it a rest! i love all of their printed sweaters, their prints in general are all fantastic...and i love the people that work there. they are my bros.

i got a gift certificate to neiman marcus for my bday and it was burning a hole in my pocket, so i bought these. they are the poor man's ann demuelemeester fall 08 boots, but it's ok. i cant spend 2 g's on a pair of combat boots! but if i could, i definitely would, and i would be stoked. for now, these! shoddy tripod photography: me
